Love is poison, Love is antidote, Love is why. Canada’s electronic duo VILLAS has a shocking new video for “Fucking Round On You” from their latest EP Medicine. Using it’s-too-perfect-to-be-real situations displayed on stock photos, while inserting the raw, unwanted truths of infidelity, the video cynically makes fun of the perfect world. It’s NSFW, so watch your back, folks!
The EP drops this Friday May 20th on all digital services and vinyl.
South London trio Dems are angry. Their new track is a brooding, industrial electro pop, implying their fury towards the city’s rising rent and greedy property owners (they are recently kicked out of their creative studio in South London). It’s dark and romantic, and increasingly poignant on every listen. Make sure you check out our interview we did when they released their amazing “Muscle Memory” LP.
Following the release from Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs, Tokyo’s LLLL recently put out a new single featuring Yeule, called “Breathless” from Bad Panda Record. Midnight in Tokyo, embracing a bottomless solitude. It is a dark, fast driving electro pop which may recall one of their early recordings. Dazzlingly beautiful.
Yo, it’s been a long time since I made my last apperance here. I have been annoyingly busy for different projects and that unabled me to focus on Lights and Music. During my hiatus I was still checking some new music and this is the first one I can’t go without introducing. Finnish electro duo Femme En Fourrune, whose work has been favoured by UK’s popular House producer like Julio Bashmore, has a new single called “Seer”. It’s a hook-heavy, club-ready, “The Knife meets Bjork in Post era” kinda pop tune. We all want to get our feet dancing for the coming of Spring, and this may be just a good fit for our mood. Listen below.
Bergen based trio Living is set to release their new single “Cerulean” on March 12 from Brilliance Records. The layered vocal creates a groovy, colourful kaleidoscope of sounds. Feel its very fine psychedelic pop vibes.
