Lights and Music Album Of The Year 2022
2022年もベストアルバムリストの季節がやってきました。毎年のように一つで遅れてしまう我がブログですが、リスト化したものを眺めてみると、今年も実りの良い年になったと思います。ビョークの待望のニューアルバム、ポーランドの作曲家を再編集したMatmosの意欲作、宇多田ヒカルのプログレッシブなポップ作など、エクスペリメンタルポップ、アンビエント、ダンスミュージックが好きな筆者にとっては、本当に大豊作でした。それでは、いつもの通り、第一位から順番に紹介します。
The time is overripe as usual for the end year list. Usually I, in my best intention, try to publish it before major ‘indie’ publication does it, so that it does not seem like I simply copy and pasted the candidates. This year was no different; I procrastinated. However looking at the Top 30 I am excited by the wide variety of albums that nourished my soul this year. Utada’s triumphant Bad Mode is a great lesson in self-love. Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul’s game changing Topical Dancer deals with racism and micro aggression in delicious electronic pop format. Up-and-comer June Mcdoom’s self-titled reminisces 60’s folk psychedelia filtered through young and curious minds. One might argue why Beyonce’s Renaissance did not make the cut.
